Pregnant Brittany Mahomes Shares the One Workout She Struggles With
Brittany Mahomes has never been one to stay away from keeping active during her pregnancy.
But according to Brittany, 29, there’s one exercise routine she is starting to struggle with.
Sharing footage of herself engaged in various workouts via her Instagram Story on Friday, November 8, Brittany revealed step-ups have become increasingly trickier to pull off.
“Step ups — the one workout that kills me the more pregnant I get,” she wrote, adding laughing emojis.
Brittany admitted she still enjoyed other types of workouts, including sumo squats using hand weights.
“Sumo anything, sign me up,” she wrote on another video shared via her Instagram Story.
Brittany and her husband Patrick, 29, announced in July that they were expecting their third child. The couple are already parents to daughter Sterling, 3, and son Bronze, who turns 2 in November.
It’s not the first time Brittany has shared her pregnancy fitness regime with her followers.
In October, Brittany’s routine was revealed thanks to her fitness instructor Kirsty Rae, who shared via Instagram how the pregnant star was training to avoid “mom butt”.
“Many women experience what’s called ‘mom butt’ during and after pregnancy, which happens when the glutes lose shape and muscle mass,” Rae captioned the video of Brittany working out. “This is often due to changes in posture and how we move as our bodies adjust to pregnancy.”
The personal trainer explained the steps other moms-to-be can take to prevent it.
“By focusing on glute engagement and maintaining strength training, you can actually continue to build muscle,” she explained. “It’s all about proper movement, posture, and progressive overload.”
Brittany has often shared glimpses into the reality of being pregnant with her third child, and previously admitted this time around has been the most difficult so far.
“Good morning, just me and my skin thats [sic] losing its mind,” Brittany captioned an unfiltered selfie via her Instagram Story in July. “This pregnancy has been the hardest on me … sickness, exhaustion and now skin!”
Brittany and her NFL star husband Patrick first met as teenagers in high school, before getting engaged in 2020 after eight years together.
The couple tied the knot in March 2022 and have kept fans updated on their growing family every step of the way.
However, this will be the last pregnancy for the pair, with Patrick sharing in July that he is “done” after three.
“I said three and I’m done,” the quarterback told reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs training camp press conference. “I always wanted to have kids young. I got to grow up in a locker room, and it made such an impact in my life. We’re on our third kid now. … Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life.”
