More Than Solid Metal Gear Collection and Mario Game Cuts, Silent Hill 2 Deluxe Dropped, Plus More! – IGN

Welcome back to paying a little for a whole lot. Case in point(s): MGS Collection, 1TB XSX Storage, and some apex PS Resis going for way cheaper than usual. I’ve also spotted some uncommonly low Switch first-party titles, which are sure to be snapped up quick. So maybe run-jump at them fast.
In retro news, I’m celebrating the 21st bday of Animal Crossing. This was it, campers—the OG concept that somehow pivoted from failed 64DD dungeon-crawling RPG to a non-linear life sim where Nintendo tried to humorously warn me about mortgages being an absolute racket. (Joke’s on them; can’t even get one now.) Nevertheless, this game delighted the hardcore and casuals alike—personally, I was sold by the fishing and 19-odd (free!!!) NES games. From this blueprint, AC spawned a 6-game empire that’s still going strong today with 81M copies sold, which must be a buttload of bells.

Yep, it’s the franchise of the hour going for cheaper than usual. As its name would suggest, New Horizons is an expanded, polished, next-generation reboot of a classic Nintendo game. We loved it to the tune of 9/10. You will too.

Silent Hill 2 Del.

I’m happy to report that this resulting Silent Hill 2 remake is an exceptionally grim and grimy horrorscape that’s consistently compelling to explore, packed with new puzzles and beefed-up boss encounters, and enhanced with modernised combat. 8/10.

Yeah, I know that I’m doubling up, but this inched even lower since yesterday. Just a bargain basement all-time low for a recently updated space RPG. Worth it alone for the chance to build a Millennium Falcon knock off, then brag about your parsec PBs.

Resident Evil 4

Arguably the best Resi Capcom ever produced. Now, made even better with modern visuals, creature comforts, and extra uncomfortable redesigns of creatures. Best of all, there’s a free update that lets you play all of it in glorious [PS] VR[2].
