Heidi Klum Reveals Her Unearthly 2024 Halloween Costume
The queen of Halloween has done it again. For Halloween 2024, Heidi Klum channeled her extra-terrestrial side.
Klum, 51, once again shocked Us with her out-of-this-world transformation on Thursday, for her star-studded Halloween party in New York City. For the spooky holiday, she donned a ET costume with husband Tom Kaulitz.
ET was a fictional extraterrestrial character in the popular 1982 movie of the same name that was directed by Steven Spielberg and starred Henry Thomas as Henry and Drew Barrymore as Gertie.
For her Halloween party, Klum wore an ensemble that featured a hat and scarf, referencing the scene in the film that the beloved character dressed in human clothes when it was playing dress-ups with Gertie.
For makeup, Klum went all-out, donning a full face of prosthetics giving her a reptile-like appearance. The scales were glued over her face and neck, covering her nose. Klum’s eyes could be seen poking out of the costume’s “neck” while the head of ET perched above.
Meanwhile, Kaulitz also dressed as ET for the occasion, but without the bag, scarf and lipstick seen in Klum’s costume.
Klum teased her look earlier on Thursday, going live on Amazon as she got ready for her annual party. In the stream, fans watched Klum as prosthetics were applied to her face — a hours-long ordeal.
Klum also teased a photo of her holding a massive finger, teasing one of ET’s signature trademarks.
She previously told ExtraTV that her costume was from “a different planet” while visiting the Empire State Building on Tuesday, October 29. “It’s not from earth and it’s a couples costume,” she hinted. “[Tom] is such a good sport because it’s hours and hours of planning, fittings, prosthetics. For me, it is fun because I love the art of it and I love the amazing people that are able to put all these prosthetics on me.”
“I have a vision, I have an idea, I bring the vision to my team and then, ‘Good luck figuring it out!’I try to do things that haven’t been done before,” she continued. “It’s not something that I can buy in a store. It’s tricky! I love it that way.”
Klum previously teased details of her Halloween costume in October, giving Today a hint of what to expect.
“It will be outerworldly,” she said in an interview at the time. “And there will be a lot of prosthetics again. I’m claustrophobic just thinking about it.”
