A Jamboree of 65 Buck Mario Must Owns, Historic Lows on Top-Tier RPGs and Racers, Plus More! – IGN
It’s time to exit your weekend and enter a whole new week/world of savings. The biggest deal of the day is the low coins proposition for Super Marios Odyssey and Party Jamboree. If you’re plumber averse, may I recommend some historically low Skyrim, Fallout, and a Forza Horizon instead? There’s stupid amounts of open-world fun in each of them.
In retro news, I’m celebrating the 14th bday of Fallout: New Vegas, a best-in-series deal (depends on which IRL NPC you dialogue with). I was captivated at launch, thanks to an unorthodox kickoff with Matthew Perry as an insta-hateable nemesis. NV then proceeded to raise the stakes further with more diverse combat options and ironsights, plus Obsidian’s true ace in the hole—a brilliant writing team with some Interplay OGs who spun a yarn on par with the first two FOs. I’m talking casino-rich dialogue (that almost trebled Fallout 3‘s total lines for a World Record), more multi-solution quests, and a wider variety of consequences. I’d ante up and replay this in New Vegas minute.

9/10, amazing. Super Mario Party Jamboree is the series’ newest superstar, with fantastic boards, minigames, and customizable rules that return to the classic formula while also confidently improving upon it.

I’ll always have a massive soft spot for the down under delights of Forza Horizon 3, but open-world racing has never looked as good as it does in Forza Horizon 4. 9.6, amazing.

A smaller, easier, less epic experience than its JRPG big brother, but none of that spoils the adventure too much. The combat is quick, clever, exciting, and lasts roughly 40 hours. 8/10, great.

My instincts (honed by dozens of Sonic titles) are telling me this will be great. It’s basically an enhanced version of 2011’s Sonic Generations, featuring new content starring Shadow the Hedgehog. He won’t be packing a gun. Not sure why he ever did.
