If you don’t follow LEGO, you might think all the sets that come out stick around forever. Not so: The block-building company is always retiring older sets to make shelf space for new ones (see October’s LEGO releases for the latest). That said, the LEGO website has a page that lets us know which sets are getting ready for the great brickyard in the sky – and the LEGO Store occasionally drops prices on sets it’s getting ready to retire. That’s what’s going on with (most of) the Marvel sets below.

Marvel LEGO Sets Retiring Soon and on Sale

LEGO Marvel: Venomized Groot

LEGO Marvel: Venomized Groot

Set #76249, contains 630 pieces.

I’m honestly not sure why the lovable twig has been infected by Venom’s symbiote, but that’s not really the point of this fun li’l set. The way it’s designed, the Venom side actually overtakes the Groot side as you build. So the whole thing is Venomized if you want to “complete” the build, or you can stop at the point where it’s half Groot and half Venom. Pretty cool. This one is so fun to build and looks so good that it landed on our list of the best Marvel LEGO sets available now (but not for long).

LEGO Marvel: Endgame Final Battle

Set #76266, contains 794 pieces.

Avengers: Endgame represents the highest highs the MCU ever reached, and this set depicts the thrilling climax. I always thought this was a cool set, but I was never jazzed about the $100 price tag. That problem is solved here with a 30% discount, making it an easier-to-justify pickup. It comes with 455 pieces, so it’s not an overwhelming build, and it includes five Marvel superhero minifigures, plus a Thanos big figure. It’s set in the ruins of the Avengers’ compound and includes all sorts of tidbits from the movies, including Thor’s hammer and Cap’s shield.

LEGO Marvel: Baby Rocket’s Ship

Set #76254, contains 330 pieces.

Baby Rocket’s Ship set is made up of 330 pieces and is sturdy enough to hold up to kids playing with it like a toy. It comes with both a grown-up Rocket and Baby Rocket minifigures. And it’s based on the ship shown in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

LEGO Marvel Sets Retiring Soon (But Not on Sale)

Set #76250, contains 596 pieces.

If you ask me (a ’90s kid), this set depicts the coolest feature of the coolest character in the Marvel universe. It’s Wolverine’s adamantium claw, and it rules. It’s a LEGO set for adults that’s meant to be built and then put on display with all your other rad nerd stuff. I love it.

LEGO Marvel: Iron Man Hulkbuster vs. Thanos

Set #76263, contains 66 pieces.

Another set that’s going away soon but that’s not on sale is this Iron Man Hulkbuster vs. Thanos set that’s aimed at the youth age group, setting it firmly in the LEGO sets for kids category. We’re talking age 4+. That means it’s a simple build with just 66 pieces and it’s designed for kids to play with. This is a good one to pick up for a birthday or holiday gift.
